When you first become a writer, be it for your own website or for other people you may find that you have trouble bringing together a comprehensive and well read document.

This happens to nearly everybody and is one of the most common failures that result in people leaving the business.

When you first begin to write for a job you will always find it easier to write about subjects you are interested in. This wont last for ever, eventually as you skill improves you will find writing about any topic comes naturally. For this reason it is imperative that when you first become a freelance writer you start by only taking jobs, or even just practicing on pretend jobs on subject you enjoy and can converse in naturally.

When you write pretend that you are talking to a friend about the subject, it is something you both have in common and have talked about before, this will allow you to delve into the details of the subject matter while still maintaining a style which allows for easy comprehension and discussion.

As you progress in writing you will learn more to enjoy writing itself rather than the subject. When this occurs you will find yourself in a position to write about any topic passionately, no matter how much detail is required!

So remember, if you are just starting out, or you are losing you will to write, step back, take a deep breath and find something you enjoy to talk about!
